State Attorney Steve Meadows announces the conviction, in Gulf County Circuit Court, of Jarquez Whitley, on a charge of Attempted Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling.

The two males, four females jury deliberated just one hour before finding Whitley, BM, DOB: 1-16-1989, 104 Apollo St, Port St. Joe, guilty of the December 16, 2007, offense.

During the trial, prosecutor Brian Hill presented evidence that the defendant and another man were seen removing screens from the windows of an Avenue D home. The Port St. Joe Police Department was called and arrived to find several screens removed.
