The following was released from Bay County, notifying residents their water is safe to drink:
DRINKING WATER PROBLEM CORRECTED
Bay County Water System is no longer exceeding turbidity levels.
THE BOIL WATER NOTICE IS LIFTED.
Customers of Bay County Utilities were notified on December 31, 2008 of a problem with our drinking water and a Boil Water Notice was issued. We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil you water. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). We need a Better Alert system. Why not use the Emergecy brodcast System. Cable stations on every channel radio. it is getting to where bay county is lacking in emergecy contact. if i ever get sick from the water being bad and bay county lacking on alerting the community i will sue bay county.
