Bay County, Fla:
Mosley High School Principal Bill Husfelt won the Republican candidacy for Bay County School Superintendent with 9,251 votes.
Jim Barr came in second with 5,721 and Thelma Rohan trailed with 4,093.
Husfelt said “I think what’s going to happen is we are going to get down to some real specifics in the primary. You don’t have a lot of time because there are so many people in it, so now we are going to be able to get very specific about certain issues and that’s what the people want to hear. They want us to focus more on the confidents and trust level at the district office right now and tell them what this is going to be about.”
Husfelt will go on to face Democratic incumbent James Mcalister and Steve George who is running with no party affiliation.
