Panama City Beach, Fla:

Even though the central Panhandle isn’t in the immediate path of Hurricane Gustav, residents along the Panhandle coast aren’t in the clear.

Storms in the past have done significant damage to the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches in the form of coastal erosion.

At St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach Sunday afternoon, dozens of surfers were enjoying the enhanced waves from the storm.

Double red flags were flying, keeping swimmers out of the water.
