A Panama City Beach woman is in the spirit of giving. Coldwell Banker employee, Alice De La Penha, donated her hair for cancer patients today.
It took some inspiration from her friends and co-workers but Alice decided to have a hair cut after five years of growing it.
Her hair will be donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a program that creates wigs for people living with cancer.
She cut off a total of 15 inches of hair. The minimum length for a hair donation is only 10 inches. It takes a total of 6 pony-tails of donated hair to make one wig. Beautiful Lengths doesn’t use any dye on their wigs, it is all natural hair color.
