On the evening of Monday, March 23, 2009, Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office went to a campsite near 5846 Hansford Rd. in an attempt to execute arrest warrants on Shari Anne Ratliff of Greenwood and Jamie Lynn Hill also of Greenwood.
At the campsite, Shari Anne Ratliff was placed under arrest on an active warrant. Jamie Lynn Hill fled the area into a wooded swamp near the campsite. With the assistance of the Jackson Correctional Institute and Apalachee Correctional Institute K-9 tracking teams and the Florida Highway Patrol K-9 unit, Jamie Lynn Hill was taken into custody placed under arrest on an active warrant near the campsite a short time later.
The Jackson County Drug Task Force conducted an investigation at the campsite, which revealed ingredients and materials used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine. Also located was a small quantity of Methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.
Jamie Lynn Hill was arrested on an active warrant for Driving While License Suspended. Hill is additionally charged with Attempted Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Listed Chemicals, and Resisting Arrest without Violence.
Shari Anne Ratliff was arrested on active warrants for Violation of Probation and Worthless Checks and is additionally being charged with Attempted Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Listed Chemicals, and Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
