Chipley, Fla:
The Chipley Police Department reports the arrest of a local woman who was found to be in possession of “ICE” a more pure form of Methamphetamine.
Arrested was Allaina Eck of Chipley. Eck was arrested after Chipley Police Officer Richard Heming stopped Eck for operating a vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. A subsequent search of Eck’s vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a substantial amount of Methamphetamine. Eck was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Driving While License Suspended.
Also, recently arrested was a Dothan, AL man, Joseph Crosby. Crosby was arrested after he attempted to obtain a controlled substance by fraudulently presenting a forged prescription. Crosby was attempting to obtain a controlled substance “Hydrocodone” and was apprehended by Sgt. Paul Demaree of the Chipley Police Department, after Sgt. Demaree discovered Crosby’s fraudulent activity. Crosby was also found to be in possession of a controlled narcotic “Vicoprofen”. Crosby was charged with attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud and possession of a controlled substance.
Chief Crews states that steps are being taken to seize and forfeit the defendant’s vehicles. Crews also states that the alert actions of the public and officers alike were responsible for the arrests. Please continue to call in with tips to 638-6310.
