The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, in conjunction with the Panama City Beach Police Department, made two arrests yesterday after several tips were phoned in to the Office identifying a suspect wanted in a credit card fraud case.
On September 10, 2008, the BCSO released to local media several photos of two white males caught on security cameras at Walmart using credit cards they had obtained in an earlier car burglary. Quick response from the public helped investigators identify Steven Walker, Jr, DOB 10/3/82, of 537 S. Hwy 22-A, as one of the suspects in the pictures. Once investigators spoke with Walker, they were able to identify the other suspect in the photos as Walker’s roommate David Nhieu, DOB 10/26/84.
Both now face charges of Criminal Use of Personal Identification, Burglary, and Principle to Credit Card Fraud.
