The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (Apalachicola NERR) will host a Master Naturalist Freshwater Wetlands course each Friday afternoon and Saturday morning beginning March 20 thru May 8, 2010.
The course provides students with 40 educational contact hours and includes a combination of classroom learning, field trips to many local Florida areas including rivers and forests, and practical experience in interpretation.
Once the payment for the course is made, each student will receive more than one course manual. Upon successful completion, each student will receive more than one University of Florida certificate and more than one patch and pin to recognize them as Florida Master Naturalists.
