Jackson County, Fla:
On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 29, 2009, Investigators with the Jackson County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Express Road south of Cypress, Florida for a traffic infraction. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jesse Ray Price and the passenger Rebecca Kay Livingston. Also in the vehicle was their 4-year-old daughter. After interviewing both Price and Livingston, investigators learned they had recently purchased cold packs and Sudafed cold tablets that contain pseudophedrine. Both of these items contain ingredients used in the manufacture of Methamphetamine. Both Price and Livingston admitted that they were selling the items to others to manufacture Methamphetamine. In addition to the pseudophedrine tablets, a search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Jesse Ray Price was placed under arrest and charged with possession of listed chemicals in the manufacture of Methamphetamine, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child abuse. Rebecca Kay Livingston was charged with possession of Methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child abuse.
The Florida Department of Children and Families was contacted and they took custody of the 4 year-old child who was later placed in the custody of family members.
Price and Livingston were housed in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance on their charges.
The Jackson County Drug Task Force is the combined effort of the Cottondale, Graceville and Marianna Police Departents, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Jackson County Sheriff”s Office.
