Jackson County, Fla:
A Jackson County man is dead after a freak accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol says around 5:00 a.m. Friday morning a Chevrolet pick-up got stuck on Old Spanish Trail and Main Street in Cypress.
A passenger, Larry Stephens, 53 of Cypress, was attempting to get the vehicle unstuck when he was struck by the truck and ran over. Stephens died a couple of hours later at Jackson Hospital.
A second passenger, Dora Stephens, 48, was also hit by the truck and is in serious condition.
FHP is not releasing the name of the driver at this time.
