Bay County, Fla:
State Attorney Glenn Hess says Leroy Parsons, 28, was indicted by a Bay County grand jury Wednesday on two counts.
The charges are First Degree Murder by Premeditation and Felony Murder and Robbery with a Firearm which is a first-degree felony and is punishable by up to life in prison due to 10-20-Life laws.
Parsons is charged in the December murder of Michael Shawn Harrell, 30. Harrell was found shot to death inside a home on Newman Point Road in Southport. The home occupants did not know the victim. They found his body when they returned home after spending the night with a cousin.
Bay County Sheriff’s Office investigators believe Parsons lured Harrell to the home for a drug deal knowing the residents would be gone all night and then robbed and shot him.
