Bay County, Fla:

A 9 year old’s death was not in vain as his parents work to educate others to keep more children from dying of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Panama City Beach resident Heather Foster lost her son, John Wesley, two years ago and, with the help of her husband Mike and family, formed the John Wesley Foster Foundation.  Today the foundation gave a CPR and Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) class at Coldwell Bankers on Thomas Drive.  The Foundation has also worked to have Automated External Defibrillators placed at parks, gyms, and schools all over Alabama and Florida.

The Fosters say every minute counts; every minute that a victim goes without defibrillation the chances of survival decrease by 10%. In fact Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in the United States.  Click here to learn more about the John Wesley Foster Foundation.
