Bay County, Fla:

The Fountain woman accused of shooting her husband makes first appearance today and the case involving two adults, a rifle and a dog is now unfolding a bit.

The sun is shining on Rollohome Road in Fountain Sunday.  You’d never guess that 24 hours ago crime scene tape surrounded the residence at 16609.  Authorities with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office say 32-year-old Sabrina Griffin originally stated that at 4:30 on Saturday morning she and her husband, 33-year-old Brian Griffin, were arguing when the family’s dog knocked over a .22 rifle and it fired, shooting Brian Griffin in the chest.  Sabrina Griffin’s story changed many times as authorities questioned her yesterday afternoon.  Now authorities say the shooting was not an accident.

A preliminary investigation led the sheriff’s office to arrest Sabrina Griffin on an open count of murder last night.  Neighbors say the couple had two children but at this point we don’t know who has custody of the children at this point.

Griffin makes first appearance today… and is being held at the Bay County Jail without bond.  The Bay County Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on the victim’s body this afternoon.
