Florida is now outside the cone of error for Tropical Storm Hanna, but state leaders are still urging you to keep an eye on the storm because it may cause rough surf, beach erosion and dangerous rip tides along the eastern coast.
Hanna has a large wind field spanning 300 miles and it could still strengthen into a hurricane as it heads for the Carolinas.
Hurricane Ike looks as if it could be a bigger threat to Florida. Ike has grown into a powerful storm and is expected to be near the Bahamas by Sunday.
Governor Charlie Crist is asking Floridians to be prepared to act if local emergency officials call for evacuations or protective measures.
He wants everyone to keep an eye on the tropics.
Florida Emergency Management Director Craig Fugate says his main message for people this weekend is: be smart, be safe, be a survivor.
