The City of Springfield Utilities Department is installing underground utility lines and water service will be interrupted from 12:30 p.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m. today (Wednesday, November 18, 2009) for addresses on the south side only of 11th St. between School Ave. and Everitt Ave. The interruption in water service also includes both sides of Huntington Drive, but only from the intersection of Huntington and Nottingham Drive west to Everitt Ave. Also, only addresses on the east side of Everitt Ave. between 11th St. and 8th St. will be affected. A precautionary boil water notice will be in effect once water service is restored. This notice will be lifted once satisfactory bacteriological water test results are received which may take up to (3) days. Please call 872-7570, ext. 101 for further information.
