Graceville, Fla.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at approximately 1:08 pm, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery that occurred on Shiloh Church Road off of Highway 2 east of Graceville, Fl.
The victim is a 77-year-old male who had stopped on Shiloh Church Road and exited his vehicle.
While standing by his truck a subject pulled up next to him and asked if his vehicle was broken down.
The suspect then exited his vehicle holding a black semi-automatic handgun and struck the victim twice in the back of the head with the firearm.
The suspect then removed an undetermined amount of money from the victim’s pocket. The suspect then got back into his vehicle and fled the area.
The victim was able to call a family member that lives nearby for assistance.
The family member transported the victim to the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital where he was treated and released.
The victim described the suspect as a black male, 30-40 years of age, 5’10”, approximately 160 lbs, with short braided hair and goatee. The suspect was wearing a multicolored flannel shirt with long baggy shorts. The vehicle was described as a late 80’s model, Dodge convertible (top down), two door, green in color with possible Alabama license plates.
