Jackson County Man Considered Armed and Dangerous

On February 26, 2009 the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office obtained additional warrants for Kevin Anthony Leslie in reference to an incident that occurred on February 25, 2009 at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Century Road, Greenwood, Florida.

The investigation reveals that Kevin Leslie came to a residence on Century Road and upon the home owner opening the door of the home, the suspect came in the residence and battered the female victim.  While in the residence the suspect brandished a firearm and threatened the victim.  The suspect then forced the victim and her two minor children into the victim’s vehicle and made her drive to a local Marianna Credit Union to withdraw U.S. Currency.  Then another attempt was made at the Marianna Walmart to get additional U.S. Currency.

The suspect then allowed the victim to drive back to her residence, where he departed the area in a black colored Honda car.  The black Honda car has been located and it was determined the suspect had abandoned the vehicle.

At this time the whereabouts of the suspect are unknown.  The warrants obtained in regards to this incident are as follows: Kidnapping (three counts); Armed Robbery with a Firearm; Armed Burglary; Aggravated Assault with a Firearm; Felony Battery; Child Abuse (two counts) and Grand Theft.

27 years old, 6’01” and 155 lbs.
Small braids in hair
