Jeremy Jones is graduating from Florida State University this December and he’s already hot a job working as a nurse. According to him nurses are always in high demand.
And he’s right. But there are other fields that are looking for employees; they’re computer science, business administration, engineering, and other fields in health care.
But unfortunately, there are students who are struggling to find a job. Pre-law student, Tamalina Carter, said, “I’ve got applications in now, everywhere and no one seems to be hiring… From book keeping to construction to receptionist positions..”
One way to get a step ahead in the job market is to take advantage of your school’s career services and job fairs.
FSU’s Panama City Campus Dean, Doctor George DePuy, says internships and networking can make all the difference. He states, “also, a lot take internships while they’re working on their degree. And then the employer knows them and more often then not the employer hires them after they’ve earned their bachelor’s degree.”
