A Calhoun County judge makes a decision in the ownership of several seized dogs.
Last week, 82 chihuahuas were taken from 59 year old Beth Hall’s one bedroom home. Calhoun County officials asked Bay County Animal Control to assist them in the seizure of the animals.
Today, Judge Kevin Grover, ruled in favor of the request by Bay and Calhoun County to take ownership of the dogs and start adopting them out to new homes. Animal control tells News 13 they’ve already received around 250 pre-applications for the dogs.
Beth Hall is charged with felony animal cruelty. According to officials, Judge Grover told her that even if she is proven not guilty of that charge, she will not be able to get the dogs back.
