A Marianna man was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges after leading law enforcement on a chase through the city, according to the Marianna Police Department
Michael Nobles, who turned 30 the day before the incident, was first observed by police driving in a reckless manor Tuesday.
“When officers attempted to stop the subject, he led them on a chase around the city of Marianna,”according to a MPD report.
Nobles ended the motor chase at a house on Dial Street, said MPD, where he exited the vehicle and ran.
Canine teams from Apalachee Correctional Institution and Jackson Correctional Institution assisted in tracking Nobles, who was eventually located near the residence and placed under arrest, said MPD.
“A further investigation revealed that the subject had battered his girlfriend while at a residence on Deering Street,” said the report.
Nobles was charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, aggravated fleeing law enforcement officer, battery (domestic violence) and reckless driving. He was booked into the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
