Lynn Haven turned out in full force Saturday morning for the Fourth of July parade. A whole day of fun drew people from as far away as Pennsylvania and Kansas.
The parade began at 9 a.m. Floats lined up along Montana Avenue and traveled along Highway 77. News Thirteen’s own live truck rode in the parade with our very own morning and evening news team in participation. Those that participated said this year’s crowd was the largest anyone had ever seen. But the parade was only the beginning of Lynn Haven’s Fourth of July events. Sheffield Park was crowded all day as families ate and participated in arts and crafts. A watermelon eating contest and locally grown entertainment rounded the afternoon off what one visitor says is family tradition.
