Man Arrested After Picking Up Students At Middle School

Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen announced today the arrest of a Bay County man for charges of Interference With Child Custody and Lewd or Lascivious Conduct.

On October 27, 2008, Eddie Louis Lee, DOB 08-21-81, 1420 Pennsylvania Avenue, Lynn Haven, went to Everitt Middle School where he picked up two students and took them to his house. While at the house, Lee solicited one of the females for sexual activity, which she declined. The girls watched a movie, and checked the online Myspace page from a computer at Lee’s house.

Lee met one of the students at his former place of employment, where he obtained her phone number. From there, the two planned a meeting behind Everitt. The students skipped at least one period of school to leave and go with Lee.

After staying at his house for approximately two hours, Lee took the girls back to the school and dropped them off.

Lee was charged with two counts of Interference With Child Custody and one count of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct. He is being held at the Bay County Jail pending his first appearance tomorrow.
