Keith Bryan Brewer was booked into the Bay County Jail last night after being arrested in his home town of Trafford, Alabama. Brewer allegedly was hired by a local man to put a roof on the man’s home and instead disappeared with the money he had been given.
The victim filed a complaint with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office on July 31, 2009, after every attempt he made to find Brewer had failed. The victim stated he hired Brewer in February of 2009 to put a metal roof on his home after responding to an ad Brewer had placed in the local newspaper advertising his company “Omega Roofing”. Brewer came to the victim’s home and after speaking with him, the victim gave Brewer $6,500 to put on a roof. Brewer never put a roof on the home and the victim could not make contact with him with the phone number’s Brewer gave him.
The victim stated he had finally located Brewer in Trafford, Alabama by looking on the internet. The victim found Brewer on a website which identified Brewer as a preacher in Trafford, Alabama.
Investigators with the Bay County Sheriff’s Office made contact with law enforcement in Trafford, Alabama and Brewer, DOB 4/27/67, was picked up and transported to the Bay County Jail. He was charged with Grand Theft.

This contractor wasn’t busted for GRAND THEFT. The local contractors are pulling scams all the time and no one goes after them.
What is different about this case is I bet that he isn’t licensed in Florida.
Bay County or even the State of Florida couldn’t care less about homeonwer’s claims of grand theft by a contractors unless they aren’t licensed.
So if anyone wants to work as a contractor in Bay County and rip off people, that is okay as long as you pay your licensing fees to the State.
A license to build and a license to steal all included for one low fee!
