Cuts in federal funding for abstinence-only education have put these programs at risk. Those in charge of the programs are continuing to push for help.
Tammy Stewart is the Positive Youth Development Coordinator at the Bay County Health Department. She says they hope to have increased awareness about the importance of abstinence education. The Freedom 180 program targets middle and high schoolers in Bay District Schools and teaches them the consequences of not waiting to have sex.

Freedom 180 will be hosting the annual House of Horrors and Happiness. It will be on February 27th at the Panama City Marine Institute from 3 - 9 p.m. This event shows teens the consequences of drug and alcohol use, sexting, and domestic violence, among other teen issues.
