Multiple areas of Bay County are recovering from brush fires.
Bay County control was on scene with the division of forestry, the Bay County Sheriff’s department and Panama City Beach Police.
The first call came in at about 2:45 Saturday afternoon. The fire spread in the area of Moylan Road and Hombre Circle up to Panama City Beach Parkway.
Several people left their houses as the fire approached residences but no evacuations were issued. A fire break were cut around the entire perimeter of the fire in hopes that will contain it.
Another fire in Callaway at Callaway heights also broke out Saturday afternoon; fire officials were able to control and eventually extinguish the fire.
