Bay County, Fla:
James David Thompson, 19, is now in the custody of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the home of an acquaintance of his on Panama City Beach.
Authorities say Thompson shot and killed Steven Weed, 42, at his home on Coe Road in Bayou George around 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Weed was shot in the arm and forehead. He was transported to Bay Medical Center where he died.
Weed’s fiance was shot in the arm. She was treated at Bay Medical Center and released Sunday.
Investigators say Thompson is connected to the gang the Crazy White Boys. They also say they have made multiple other arrests in the case.
The Sheriff’s Office will be holding a news conference at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon. News 13 will provide more details when they become avialable.
