Okaloosa County Shooting Victim Identified

A man shot in his car while parked on Oak Street in the Sylvania Heights area Tuesday, July 27th, has been identified as 24-year old Danny Lamar Livingston of 2591 Livingston Street in Crestview.

The Fort Walton Beach Police Department made contact with Livingston at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Mary Esther Cutoff before 7 p.m.
Livingston had been shot once in the abdomen on Oak Street and had attempted to drive himself to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

He was flown by medical helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place shortly before 7 p.m. today, July 27th, in a car parked at Oak and Inez Streets in the Sylvania Heights area.

The victim attempted to drive himself to the hospital but stopped at the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Mary Esther Boulevard. He was flown by medical helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. His injuries are serious but initial reports indicated they did not appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect is still at large. Additional details will be released as they become available. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS
