Mosley Principal Bill Husfelt says he thinks he can make a difference as Superintendent. That’s why he is running for office.
On the issue of the budget, Husfelt says he feels like money has been taken out of the classroom and he won’t do that. The system is facing four million dollars in more cuts in 2009. He says the system can not continue to go along the route it is going and not tighten belts more, without affecting the classroom. He says the one thing he worries about the most is the budget in this district.
When it comes to a new policy that closes campuses for lunch at area high schools, Bill Husfelt says he loves the new policy. Some seniors are allowed, with their parents permission to leave campus for lunch, but every school has the option. Husfelt says the policy is working well because it includes input from parents when it comes to their children.
