Panama City, Fla:
They’re tough, nasty, and vicious and love to wreak havoc on anyone who gets in their way, and I’m not talking about a football team, I’m talking about the Panama City Roller Derby girls.
The girls played host to the Atlanta RollerGirls Sunday night at the Panama City Skate Factory in a match that is dubbed, Pirates of the Cari-Beatin’!
This match up featured a ton of big hits for the crowd to enjoy, and there was even some bloodshed, which I chose to keep off camera.
Marry Murder lead the way for the PC Roller Derby girls, but the Atlanta RollerGirls end up getting the best of Panama City Sunday, 98-64.
The fans still had a good time, and I got to talk with some younger guys about what they enjoy about roller derby, and one even told me about his favorite food at a roller derby match.
“Most of it is just hot women out here, wearing fish nets on their legs and beating each other up in skates. It’s awesome,” 11-year-old Dylan Blackwell said.
“Well, I like all the hot girls beating each other up, and all the fun that they have out there. My favorite part is the pickles. I have to agree that pickles are my favorite food and the pickles here have this little kick to it that it taste almost like a jalapeno,” said 10-year-old Daunovan Duncan.
The Panama City Roller Derby girls next match is on September 7th against Jacksonville.
