Panama City, Fla:
As part of the revitalization of Historic St. Andrews, the Museum and Visitors Center along with the St. Andrews History Committee has come up with the unique idea of showcasing the town by offering walking tours of St. Andrews. It all starts with a boat ride from Panama City Beach.
Visitors arrive by boat on the St. Andrews Bay Ferry. They come over from the beach and then get set for the walking tour of St. Andrews. While on the tour, guests are given the background on some of the historical sites as well as where they can shop and later have lunch at one of the dining establishments.
As one might expect, these walking tours of St. Andrews have been a major shot in the arm for the economy.
