The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Louis Miles Treckey, Jr., 63 years of age. Treckey is being charged with one count of lewd and or lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 12 years. Allegedly, on October 8, 2009 at approximately 8:00 A.M. Treckey was asked by the child’s family to transport the child to daycare. Treckey was an associate of the family. Treckey agreed to transport the 2 ½ year old victim to daycare and arrived approximately two hours after he had left with the child. Upon arrival to daycare the victim made statements that alerted the daycare staff. The family was notified and the child was taken to and examined at a local hospital. The Department of Children and Families and the Panama City Police Department were notified. Treckey was arrested without incident. If you have any information in reference to this or any other crime please contact the Panama City Police Department at 850-872-3100 or on the web at www.panamacitypolice.com. “an associate of the family” Lord, please help our little children and protect them from the monsters AND the stupid parents.
Why on earth would the parents trust someone like that with their child? Thank God the baby was old enough to talk or they wouldn’t have even known what happened. I will pray for that baby to be healed. I hope that monster gets what he deserves.

(Not saying these parents were stupid. Maybe the “associate” was more to the family than the paper is reporting. Just made me think of many instances of dead-beat parents that wouldn’t think twice of this sort of thing. For them, it’s easier to pawn their kids off than to take full resonsibility.)
