Panama City, Fla:
The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of several individuals on felony and misdemeanor marijuana charges.
On December 18th, 2008, Investigators with the Panama City Police Department Special Operations Unit responded to 1722 West 17th Street, Macedonia Garden Apartments in reference to a shots fired call. During the investigation Investigators located a quantity of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun inside apartment I-204.
Arrested from the apartment were Eric Tyrone Greene, 24 years of age and Stanley Lavar Ashe, 27 years of age. Eric Greene was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Keeping/Maintaining a Residence for Drugs. Stanley Ashe was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana Less Than Twenty Grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both Mr. Greene and Mr. Ashe lived in apartment I-204 of Macedonia Garden Apartments. Approximately 21.3 grams of marijuana, cocaine residue, and a .22 caliber Derringer handgun were seized out of the apartment.
Investigators also arrested Jeffrey Grant Thorne, 23 years of age, of Defuniak Springs Florida. Jeffrey Thorne was placed under arrest for an outstanding Warrant for Sell of Crack Cocaine. A search of Mr. Thorne found him to be in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana. Mr. Thorne was charged with the outstanding warrant, Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespassing. Mr. Thorne was found to be in possession of approximately 15.6 grams of marijuana and less than 1 gram of crack cocaine. The investigation into the shots fired call is still pending. At the time of this news release there has been no reports of anyone being injured. More charges and arrests are possible in this investigation.
