Panama City, Fla:
The Panama City Police Department announces they will continue enhanced traffic enforcement at the following locations, during the following dates. Motorist are asked to be mindful of their driving habits at all times; however in an effort to increase awareness and public safety we will regularly inform the motoring public of these stepped up enforcement efforts.
The dates and places of our traffic enforcement efforts are as follows:
• Monday October 5th 2009 our focus will be Speed Enforcement on West Highway 98 west of Beck Avenue and east of West 23rd Street and Stop Sign violations at East 4th Street and Center Avenue.
• Tuesday October 6th 2009 our focus will be Speed Enforcement on 23rd Street west of Michigan Avenue and east of Collegiate Drive and Red Light violations at West 23rd Street and Airport Road.
• Wednesday October 7th 2009 our focus will be Speed Enforcement on Martin Luther King Blvd. north of Highway 231 and South of Baldwin Road and Red Light violations at East Business Highway 98 and Sherman Avenue.
• Thursday October 8th 2009 our focus will be Red Light violations at West 15th Street and Frankford Avenue and Speed Enforcement on Frankford Avenue north of 15th Street and south of 23rd Street.
• Friday October 9th 2009 our focus will be Stop Sign violations at West 9th Street and Frankford Avenue and Stop Sign violations at West 10th Street and Beck Avenue.
Driving law tip of the week: When headlights and lighted lamps are required. Every vehicle operated upon a highway within this state shall display lighted lamps and illuminating devices as herein respectively required for different classes of vehicles, subject to exceptions with respect to parked vehicles, under the following conditions: At any time from sunset to sunrise including the twilight hours. Twilight hours shall mean the time between sunset and full night or between full night and sunrise. During any rain, smoke, or fog. (F.S.S. 316.217)
We would also like to remind motorist that school is back in session and we will be conducting enforcement for speed in the school zones. Although we are announcing the dates and places of these traffic enforcement efforts we are of course always diligent in our efforts to increase awareness and public safety.
Why can’t you people just obey the law instead of trying to cheat it.
