As the Prep Football season begins to wind down the picture as to who has a shot at post season play is getting a little clearer.

In District 2 Class 4-A the Mosley Dolphins lost to Crestview 33-34 last Friday Night, which means if Mosley can beat Fort Walton Beach in two weeks then Fort Walton, Mosley and Crestview would be tied at 1-2 in District play. That’s assuming Niceville beats Crestview, which would set up a three way playoff for second place.

In District 1 class 3-A the Bay High Tornadoes are 3-2 in District play and take on Choctaw who’s 4-1 in District play Friday Night.
If Bay High wins that game and Rutherford beats Arnold, then Bay, Rutherford and Choctaw would be tied at 4-2.  So the possibility of another three way playoff is looming in bay county.

In District 1 class 2-B Marianna and Walton are finished District play with 1-2 records.  Marianna beat Walton in the regular season so unless Chipley upsets Pensacola Catholic it looks like Marianna and Pensacola Catholic will move on to the post season.

In District 1 class 1-A the situation, at least at this point is much simpler.
In this nine team District, if Freeport beats winless Baker Friday Night and South Walton beats Vernon, then Freeport at 6-0 and South Walton at 6-1 would clinch the top two spots in the district.

In District 2 class 1-A if Blountstown, who is 3-0 in District play can win their last two District games and Port St Joe at 3-1 wins their last remaining District game, then Blountstown and Port St Joe will take the top two spots in that district.  But Liberty County and Franklin County still have an outside shot if they win out.

In District 1 class 1-B if FAMU High School wins one of their last two games they will join Jefferson County in the post season.  Jefferson County secured a spot with a win against Graceville last Friday night.
