Panama City, Fla:
The Panama City Police Department faces a harassment suit from one of its own officers. Wendy Entrekin filed a federal lawsuit against Panama City for gender discrimination and retaliation for reporting a problem.
In the lawsuit, Entrekin alleges that her supervisor, Lt. Bobby Hartwell, made unwelcome sexual actions, sexually explicit comments and vulgar sexually oriented jokes in the workplace.
When Entrekin reported the behavior to the next highest rank official she says the complaint wasn’t taken seriously. Entrekin says she is now the target of “retaliatory harassment” for filing the charge, and her job has been threatened.
Wendy Entrekin asks for monetary relief including $75,000, plus damages.
