Its just about time to start carving your pumpkins for Halloween and the Panama City Junior Woman’s Club hosts a festival to get you pumped about pumpkins.
Its Pumpkins in the Park, at Under the Oaks Park in Parker. The day includes arts and crafts, community vendors, entertainment and of course food.
Bay County’s prettiest pumpkins took the stage for the pumpkin princess pageant this morning and there was also 5K run in memory of JoAnn Weintritt, a lifetime member of the club who lost her battle with cancer in February of this year.
Kelli Ferns-Siller coordinated the event and said that it means a lot to have the event in memory of JoAnn: “This morning we opened up with our JoAnn Weintripp Memorial Run. Her family, her two children and her husband were both here to welcome everyone and to honor the people as they crossed the finish line and it was just a great day.”
