Residents and McDonald’s Make Overseas Impact

Panama City, Fla:

Panama City residents are bringing McDonald’s to Afghanistan.

McDonald’s on Michigan Ave. and hwy 98 is taking their overstock happy meal toys and sending them overseas for soldiers to give to children.  Part of their mission is to help the U.S build relationships.
   
Last month, 500 toys were given away and the success has them packing more this month.

“It makes you realize how such a small thing can have such a global impact on something that’s affecting all of us,” said franchise owner Tracy Johnstone, “and that’s the war in Afghanistan and our sons and daughters who are serving.”

Johnstone is heading up another effort to provide soldiers with TVs and movies.  To learn more, call 819-4908.
