Roads Impacted by Severe Weather

Several major roads in Holmes County are under water.

Drivers should avoid:
• County Road 79
• Highway 163
• Highway 2

The Florida Highway Patrols says the following are closed due to water on the roadway:
• North of CR 181 and SR 81 in Westville
• SR 81 and Gillman Road in Westville
• SR 81 and SR 2 in Westville

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the following roads are closed in Walton County due to being under water:
• 331 N and CR 180 in Paxton
• SR 2 and 331 in DeFuniak Springs
• CR 2A and 331 in DeFuniak
• Campground Rd and 331 in Laurel Hill
• Pittman Rd and 331 in DeFuniak

There’s also debris partially blocking the roadway on Interstate 10 near Ponce De Leon. 

The Walton County Emergency Operations Center tells News 13 they are up to 28 closed roads as of 6:00 p.m. Saturday.  They are posting road closures to their website.  Click here for the link.  Here’s their list as of 6:00 p.m. Saturday:

• Johns Lane
• Long Road
• Moll Drive
• Oak Grove Road
• Raley Road
• Sandspur Road
• Schofield Road
• Trout Drive
• Williams Road
• Edgewater Circle
• Eight Mile Cemetery Road
• One Bridge Road
• Sherwood Road
• Phillips Road
• Bear Bay Flats Road
• McKee Road
• Harrison Road
• Gus Andrews Road
• George Road
• Cawthorn Road (off of 147)
• Sand Ramp Road
• New Harmony Loop
• County Line Road (N. of 85)

Walton County officials will continue damage assessments throughout Sunday.
