Bay County, Fla:
Media coverage of a credit card theft case in Bay County has led to the identification of the suspect caught on security video committing the crime at a local Wal Mart.
A woman was captured on video stalking elderly women in the discount store as they shopped, waiting for an opportunity to snatch credit cards from her victim’s purses. She then used the stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards. The gift cards were used to make purchases not only in Bay County but the Dothan, Alabama area as well.
Tips phoned in after a video of the suspect was aired on television led investigators to Kabreshia Goosby, DOB 12/18/77, of 1239 Jones Circle, Elba, Alabama. Goosby has a criminal record of similar offenses and investigators believe she is connected to a series of credit card thefts in northwest Florida and southeast Alabama.
Law enforcement in Coffee County and Elba, Alabama as well as the District Attorney in Coffee County has been instrumental in assisting the investigation in Bay County and obtaining a search warrant of Goosby’s residence in Elba.
Warrants have been issued by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information, Fraudulent Use of Credit Card, and Theft. Additional charges are expected as authorities find evidence to connect her to other cases.
Anyone who believes they have been victimized by this suspect or has information on the location of Kabreshia Goosby is asked to call their local law enforcement.
