Panama City Beach, Fla:
The 29th Annual Seafood Wine and Music Festival is in full swing at Frank Brown Park. The event showcasing local talent and culture is attracting visitors from several neighboring states.
You can get your holiday shopping done early at the arts and crafts tent. If all that shopping works up an appetite, you could stuff yourself with seafood from local restaurants.
Then those of drinking age could wash it down with a variety of domestic and international wines. You might want to let your stomach settle before hitting the “Starship 2000.” That’s one of several carnival style rides that lures people from Panama City to Enterprise, AL.
“We heard about the bands and the arts and crafts and we like that kind of stuff,” says Alabama resident Melody Fortune. “We just came on down for the weekend. We have a camper and we’re staying at St. Andrews State Park and we’re having a good time.”
In addition to the food and wine, the event plays host to some very popular musical acts.
38 Special - Friday
Blues Traveler - Saturday
Craig Morgan - Sunday
The Seafood Festival continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This entry has been viewed 1616 times.
Who ever decided to promote this kind of event was on the space ride at the time.Who in this area cares about paying $10 to Park $20 ticket? SurfSlayer is correct WHAT A JOKE Beside all that what good reason would a family have to visit here in the first place?
What a joke. The Festival sucks, is overpriced, and we could really care less about Kazoo bands and crappy, 5$ a shot space rides. The food is average, basic “Carny” garbage, and a 10$ philly sandwich is ridiculous.Trying to get 20$ at the gate, plus 10$ parking didn’t work. There were 20 people at the festival. Another fine job by the TDC!

Uhhmmm, the “Promoter” shifted from Jack Bishop to CJ Ryan--Jack’s adopted son. Both of whom have made so many enemies on the Beach that those of us who remember the REAL Indian Summer Seafood Festival wouldn’t take the time or drop a dime to see the (lack of) entertainment. Get Billy Still back in the loop for next year, get the Mom and Pop booths back on the midway, the FSU Flying Circus and all the things that made the Seafood Festival the yearly event where you ran into friends you hadn’t seen since the previous years festival. Oh, and what is this “Wine” thing? I would submit that an Oktoberfest type of festival would generate more revenue, fill more hotel rooms and restore the true spirit of the shoulder season event for Panama City Beach. CVB and TDC, you got snowed by some of the best BS artists on the Beach, and there ain’t no way you were uninformed!
