The disappearance of an Alabama woman is one of the year’s biggest mysteries. 53 year-old Pam Biggers was last seen January 27th at the La Quinta Inn on Thomas Drive. She was reported missing the next morning.
Search and Rescue workers are still trying to solve the case that’s caught the attention of many area residents who didn’t even know her.
Some of those residents are continuing efforts to locate Biggers during her birthday.
Saturday, in honor of Biggers’ birthday, members of the organization Finder’s Hope set off balloons with Bay County Search and Rescue.
Each balloon contains a flier with a photo of Biggers, and the hope that it may land in the hands of someone who can help.
Finder’s Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to continuing the search for missing persons. Members like Christy Davis, whose son went missing June 2007, say they have a personal connection to make sure the missing will not be forgotten.
“The more awareness we can bring to missing people, the more it helps our whole country,” said Davis.
Balloons are also being released in Alabama by Biggers’ family members.
Authorities and her family do believe she is alive. Biggers’ husband says she may be disoriented.
Authorities are still asking residents to keep an eye out for the missing woman. She’s a 53 year-old white female, about 5’8” tall and 135 pounds with green eyes.
Anyone who may have information is asked to call the Bay County Sheriff’s Office at 747-4700.
