Recent rains mean high water levels in several lakes, and it’s drawing out some interesting wildlife in St. Andrews Bay.

Water from Martin Lake overflows into the bay next to the paper mill, near the Parker City limits on Business Highway 98.

Along with the fresh water, carp have been crossing the spillway undernearth Hwy 98 and attracting some very large predators.

Around lunch time Thursday about seven to ten bull sharks could be seen swimming in the area and feeding on the carp.

Fishermen in the area estimated a few sharks to be over 150 pounds.
