Panama City Beach, Fla:
In an economy where many local businesses are folding, Simply the Best Sports is making it work.
Jon McFatter owns Simply the Best, a coach training program that tries to help teach coaches how to positively influence children.
helping people. He says that most of the people that they see are motivated because they need the information. They believe the information is the key to success with any venue that you’re involved in. Simply the Best provides coaches with information that we feel like can help them on the field that they have accumulated from working with children for a long time.
But that’s not all simply the best does. McFatter has developed his small business into a three-pronged program that includes putting on the Simply the Best World Series every year.
Basically the company is threefold: one branchis a coach’s certification and training program. They also do a world series on the beach and service training for school districts.
The tournament has been a staple for the past eight years. This year the tournament will be held at Frank Brown Park at Panama City Beach. Kids from as far away as Texas will travel to play for an entire week. The opening ceremonies begin Sunday at Mosley High School in Lynn Haven.
Admission to the tournament is free, so if you want to come watch some good baseball just show up at Frank Brown Park this week after 8 a.m.
