Jackson County, Fla:
A hunting accident takes the life of a Jackson County man.
Officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission say Terry Herndon of Sneads went hunting yesterday on family property but didn’t return home when expected.
FWC spokesman Stan Kirkland says a family member found Herndon around 7:00 p.m.
Authorities say he had fallen from a tree stand and was pronounced dead at the scene. Herndon would have turned 67 today.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
