Sowell Prepares for Property Appraiser Job

Bay County, Fla:

Bay County elected a new Property Appraiser, Tuesday night.  Dan Sowell unofficially won the race by 1,100 votes.

Dan Sowell - 40%
Jim Kochevar - 36%

Sowell was back to work Wednesday.  He currently serves as Assistant Chief Deputy.  Soon, he’ll assume the responsibility of more than 112,000 Bay County properties.  After 20 years at the Appraiser’s Office, Sowell says his dream has finally come true.  Sowell officially becomes Property Appraiser January 6, 2009.

This guy does not have the courage to stand up to the big developers who are evading their property taxes by hiding behind the trees!

Bay County residents say they want change, then elect someone that’s been with the office 20 years. Where’s the reason in that.
