Springfield, Fla:
Bay County law enforcement is looking for a person who may or may not be in danger.
Several departments searched an area of Springfield for several hours from the air and land Wednesday night.
Springfield Assistant Police Chief Barry Roberts tells us that earlier in the evening, a resident said he heard screaming coming from a wooded area behind his house. This was in the Ormond and Douglas Road area.
Chief Roberts says people ride bikes and ATV’s near there all the time.
The man told authorities he heard a voice screaming for help, something that sounded like a human running out of breath and then silence.
So search and rescue teams from the police and fire departments as well as the Bay County Sheriff’s Office helicopter scoured the area.
The search was called off after 10 p.m. No one had been found.
