Holmes County, Fla:
The small Panhandle towns of Noma and Esto will soon be getting a facelift thanks to funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has awarded contracts to GAC Contractor of Panama City, Fl to construct a sidewalk along CR 175 from Skipper Avenue to west of White Street in Noma at a construction cost of $24,000. The firm will also build a sidewalk along SR 79 in Esto from North Joy Meadows Circle to First Avenue South. The cost is $48,000. Weather permitting both projects will be complete within the next two to three months. A sidewalk project for the city of Bonifay also, funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is nearing completion.
