Walton County, Fla:

A Walton County murder trial will be delayed after Judge Kelvin Wells granted 44-year-old Teresa Mckee a continuance.  Mckee is charged with the shooting death of 44-year-old Stephanie Lockwood in August.  The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reports she confessed to the crime.

Sheriff Mike Adkinson says the victim and Mckee were friends in the small Liberty community.  Family members present for her hearing Thursday say they’re still shocked at the case.

“It’s really hard because we don’t believe that she would do something like this,” said her son-in-law, “I mean they were best friends.”

Mckee’s trial date was moved to February 8th.
