Bay County, Fla:
Two individuals were arrested earlier today in connection to an armed robbery Friday, October 30, at approximately 7:30 pm. Joshua Wayne Peters, DOB 8/7/91, was charged with Armed Robbery and Karlee Amanda Hooper, DOB 12/10/92, was charged with Principle to Armed Robbery. Arrested just about an hour ago was the third individual allegedly responsible for the armed robbery, juvenile James Daniel Ezell, DOB 10/19/92, also charged with Armed Robbery.
The victim of the robbery contacted the Bay County Sheriff’s Office Friday evening stating he had been robbed by two males and a female. He stated he had been in communication with Karlee Amanda Hooper by text messages through out the afternoon and had agreed to meet her and “hang out” together that evening. The victim stated he sent her a message that he had to cash his paycheck before meeting her. The victim was later picked up by Hooper and two males driving a black Jeep Liberty.
According to the victim, the four traveled to the area of Moylan Road and Back Beach Road and parked the Jeep. At that point the male in the back seat, believed to be James Daniel Ezell, turned to the victim and stated “Times are tough. Give me your money.” Peters, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, also stated that times were tough due to the recession. Allegedly Ezell then began to punch the victim while Peters got out of the driver’s seat, opened a back door and also began to strike the victim. The victim stated to investigators he gave his cash to the two males. He was then dumped out of the vehicle.
The victim was able to contact a friend who came and picked him up and helped him contact the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. Subsequent investigation led investigators to Karlee Amanda Hooper of 201 Kensington Circle, Panama City Beach, Joshua Wayne Peters of 19922 Claude Circle, Panama City Beach, and James Daniel Ezell, of 206 North Arnold Road, Panama City Beach.
